Thursday is Kicks Day…as in sneakers.

I started out the kicks segment of his blog by posting on a linked blog Vangogh Emporium, which features uniques mixtures of everything from sleek and classy men’s sneakers [i.e., Alexander McQueen] to everything outside and in between. And now I will be posting in the Jewels and Tee’s section of the blog, which is a Unisex Style portion of the blog.

Tomorrow I’m doing a segment on where to find rare classics; vintage remakes and more cool stuff like that. Check these and more out in my post tomorrow!

These were my favorite this week. Can you guess the name?

Queens, NY was in the building yesterday evening!

dmc

I passed the cigar shop and in through the doors of The Renaissance in Hollywood on my way to a meeting and walk through the doors and right into, literally…one of my first influences in HipHop and from Queens. It couldn’t be more perfect then a scene from Eddie Murphy’s, “Coming to America”.

I ran into none other than the world famous HipHop legend Darryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels of RUN-D.M.C. and by the way he was looking quite buff and way under his age. I heard that he’s the one that connected his personal trainer with LL Cool J and then later Timberland started the workout plan…whatever these men are doing it’s working!

But on another beat Run-D.M.C. are to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this April 2009.
The April 4 induction ceremony is to take place in Cleveland, home of the Hall of Fame. This will be the first time since 1997 that it is held in this city. The gala is to be broadcast live on Fuse TV as part of a new three-year broadcast deal between the foundation and Fuse.

For the first time in the event’s history, tickets to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be accessible to the public as well as to invited guests.

ALSO LAST WEEK…
DMC attended the Impact Film Fund in Washington to Celebrate Inauguration of Barack Obama with rap artists Ludacris and Nelly, and comedian Sarah Silverman. For more info on the film organization check out: http://www.impactfilmfund.org/
